Gordon Gallien's expedition to the Kalambo Falls, 1928' A 1928 map of Enid Gordon Gallien's expedition to the Kalambo Falls, Tanganyika Territory (now Tanzania). Mrs Gordon Gallien was a British adventurer and pilot who was awarded the RGS's prestigious Back Award in 1930 for this expedition. She was killed in the crash in 1931 of a plane piloted by her friend the pioneering racing pilot Sicele O'Brien.
